Synopsis:
The daleks capture Andy and Mary’s craft and bring it down to the planet Gurnian, which is populated by the dreaded Horrorkons. The daleks force Mary and Andy to walk amongst the horrorkons but the horrorkons ignore the humans completely. Instead the horrorkons concentrate on eating anything metal. Mary and Andy gather up as much metal as they can and lead the horrorkons to the back of the dalek ship and leave as the creatures start to devour the daleks and their craft.
Episode Endings:
One – Mary and Andy blast away from the planet and wonder if their brother Jeff will believe their story.
Continuity
We get to see Marsh Daleks for the first time. They have two stilt like legs, a gun, an eye stalk and not a lot else that makes them look like a dalek.
Daleks can capture a space ship without waking its occupants through use of a magnetrap. They find the idea of forcing Mary and Andy to face the horrorkons amusing!
Horrorkons are two headed creatures that live in the marshes of Gurnian. Jeff Stone made a study of them at some time.
Gurnian is the “worst planet in the sky”.
Comments:
A rather bizarre tale and it seems strange to see the daleks forcing people to do things to amuse them. The idea of the horrorkons eating metal is quite nice though but all in all it seems a rather inconsequential story. It’s worth looking it out though so you can see the marsh daleks though.
